About Seth Ambrose
Licensed California Marriage and Family Therapist #99862
I grew up under the big skies and snowy mountains of Montana, near Glacier National Park. After pursuing undergraduate studies in music and theatre, I moved to San Francisco to study and teach the Alexander Technique.
Over time, I became increasingly interested in the intersection of body-based practices and psychology. This led me to enroll at the California Institute of Integral Studies where I earned my Master’s degree in Somatic Psychology. After graduate school, I interned at the Center for Mindful Psychotherapy, before moving into full-time private practice.
San Francisco continues to be my home, and I offer in-person sessions in the City and Telehealth Services throughout the state of California. I work with individuals and couples, with a focus on somatic approaches to therapy and counseling for gay men.
When I'm not in the therapy room, you'll likely find me at the symphony, out hiking with my dog, or lost in the pages of a good sci-fi novel. Let's take this journey together, one step at a time!
