I grew up under the big skies and snowy mountains of Montana, near Glacier National Park. After pursuing undergraduate studies in music and theatre, I moved to San Francisco to study and teach the Alexander Technique. I ran a studio helping students explore posture, coordination, and body awareness.
Over time, I became increasingly interested in the intersection of body-based practices and psychology. This led me to enroll at the California Institute of Integral Studies where I earned my Master’s degree in Somatic Psychology. After graduate school, I interned at the Center for Mindful Psychotherapy, before moving into full-time private practice.
San Francisco continues to be my home, and I offer in-person sessions in the City and Telehealth Services throughout the state of California. I work with individuals and couples, with a focus on somatic approaches to therapy and counseling for gay men.
In addition to psychotherapy services, I also provide supervision for trainee and associate therapists at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy and the Center for Mindful Psychotherapy, where I also serve as a Board Member.
When I'm not in the therapy room, you'll likely find me at the symphony, out hiking with my dog, or lost in the pages of a good sci-fi novel. Let's take this journey together, one step at a time!
